Derivative

A 6 year old child presents with a puffy face and puffy legs. His albumin is 2.8 g/dL (low).

Challenge: What's the most likely diagnosis?

  1. Derivative

    This is minimal change disease. It accounts for most nephrotic syndrome in children. The characteristic histologic feature is diffuse fusion of epithelial foot processes on EM.
