Common Welsh Surname

Both images show the same finding in a young athlete who describes acute onset pain on the lateral side of his foot, anterior to the ankle. He was playing basketball at the time. He has difficulty bearing weight. Examination shows edema and ecchymosis.

  2. yes! it is a jones fx and the pictures are from wiki - i like wikipedia sometimes because for the most part, the pictures can be used with appropriate citation.

    This is a Jones fracture, an acute fracture of the proximal diaphysis of the proximal fifth metatarsal. They occur within 1.5cm of the metatarsal tuberosity and extend toward the intermetatarsal joint.
