Star Light, Star...

A six year old girl begins to develop breast buds and menstrual periods. You note ovarian cysts as well as these findings.

    McCune-Albright syndrome is a rare disorder with the triad of sexual precocity, café-au-lait pigmentation (first image), and polyostotic fibrous dysplasia of bone (second image). The molecular mechanism is a mutation in an alpha subunit of a G protein. It only occurs in girls.
