Challenge: This happened after an ear piercing. What is it?
Keloid is tumorlike in Greek. Keloids are benign fibrous growths in scar tissue due to altered wound healing. They may be asymptomatic, pruritic, tender, or painful. They are most commonly on the ears, neck, jaw, presternal chest, shoulders, upper back.
