Cath Lab I
A 60 year old smoker with hypertension presents with acute onset back pain. A chest X-ray is shown above. A CT scan is shown below.

This is a thoracic aortic aneurysm which has ruptured. The first image shows a widened mediastinum with the black arrow marking the lateral border of the aorta. The second image shows blood in the thorax (white arrow) around the aorta (black arrow).
