Ranula (a retention cyst)

the differential definitely includes ranula or obstruction to the salivary gland...the color here suggests ranula.

This is a ranula, a pseudocyst associated with the sublingual glands and submandibular ducts.

Ranula as it is. This has something to do with mucus extravasation and obstruction of salivary gland as what Craig Chen has been said.
