Pheochromocytoma
pheo?
10%
The histology is a pheochromocytoma from an adrenectomy specimen. The 10% rule is that 10% pheos are malignant, 10% are extra-adrenal, 10% arise in childhood, 10% are familial, 10% recur after being resected, and you’re 10 times more likely to see this on an exam than in real life.
